Our workers have extensive safety training and operator certifications

Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of those involved with our work

Although our goal is to successfully deliver pipeline services for each of our customers’ needs, our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of those involved with our work. Ridge Runner advocates for the safest work environments regardless of the task.

We foster a culture of employee empowerment when it comes to safe work practices by following our Stop Work Authority (SWA) procedure. Ridge Runner encourages all personnel, regardless of position, to suspend any operation which, in their opinion, poses a hazard to the life and health of any person or the environment.

In addition, we require each employee to have up-to-date SafeLandUSA (PEC Safety) or equivalent, industry-recognized training. Ridge Runner supervisors and foremen are Operator Qualified (OQ) for various pipeline pre-commissioning tasks through Veriforce. Our credentials are available for review upon request.

Competent Operator Program

All Ridge Runner personnel must complete Competent Training Courses for the various equipment used during pipeline commissioning practices. Courses require an equipment overview by a factory representative, covering operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. In addition, 40hours of supervised field experience is required, prior to receiving a certificate stating the employee is a “Competent Operator”. Only competent operators will be allowed to operate Ridge Runner equipment.
